Job Description

Brook Street Recruitment is working on behalf of our client in Ballyclare to recruit a new full time and permanent Estimator / Vehicle Damage Assessor.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Carrying out estimates for vehicle repair accurately and to an acceptable standard of detail. Most estimates required would be opinion based and training would be given
• Sending estimates to customers in a timely manner and agreeing and gaining authorisation for repairs
• Provide updates to the team/customer on current stages of the estimate status
• Ordering and checking in parts for vehicle repair
• Allocating parts to the correct job within the Body shop
• Updating and processing any supplementary requests
• Plan your workload effectively to ensure vehicles are ready to agree timescales
• You will ensure that all tasks carried out follow our Health and Safety guidelines; for example, wearing all provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and keeping all work areas clean and tidy.
• Adhoc duties as requested by Body shop Manager

Criteria

• Must possess demonstrable technical experience of repairs within a Body-shop environment in the above listed areas (light or heavy vehicle)
• Possess a valid driving license

Desired criteria

• Previous experience of liaising with insurance companies would be desirable
• Previous experience using an Emacs Body-shop Management System would be desirable
