Job Description
Our client, a research organisation based in Barbican are looking to expand their IT department with the addition of a new 1st/2nd line IT Technician.
The role will be working across the company head office in Barbican as well as their office in Stratford so an easy commute to both locations is essential.
We need someone with a University degree or equivalent college qualification in the field of IT/computer science along with some equivalent work experience.
Useful Certifications include;
MCSA - Windows Desktop OS and Server Core Modules
MCSA - Extended Modules
Network+
ITIL Foundation
You should have hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware and software including the following;
Laptops, PC's, iPhones, Androids
Windows 7 to Windows 10
Linux
MS Office - Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access
Other desktop applications;
Accounts Software (Access Dimensions)
Windows Server Active Directory/Group Policy
Avaya VoIP Telephone System or Equivalent VoIP system
Printer Networks
LAN/WAN/VPN/Wireless Connectivity
Backup technologies, preferably Backup Exec and Veeam
Remote Desktop Services
VPN and remote working technologies
An excellent professional manner and strong interpersonal skills are essential to work at all levels within the business.
Salary up to £30000
