We are currently recruiting a 1st Line Support Officer for a Government Agency based in Swansea city centre for a temporary assignment (up to 12 months).
The hours of work are 37 hours per week and will be on a shift rota between 07:30 and 18:30 Monday to Friday.
Pay Rate : £11.19ph
Duties of this role include
" 1st line support on Helpdesk
" Raising tickets for IT issues to be resolved by establishing details of the error from the User
" Processing incident requests
" Obtaining technical information from service users out in the field
" Problem solving and proactive to escalate when required to the correct person
" Offering advice within guidelines
To be considered for this role, applicants must have
" A minimum of 12 months experience in a 1st line helpdesk role
" Excellent communication skills, both written and via the telephone
" Excellent standards of written & spoken English
" Good time management skills and the ability to work efficiently
" Confident with IT systems and able to assist people on how to resolve issues
The successful candidate will be working in a busy environment, which requires a high level of clearance checks. This will include Criminal Record checks (DBS Checks), Reference Checks (3 years), Address checks (5 years) and may involve us obtaining Character references to cover periods of unemployment.
Once the successful candidate has been offered the role, these checks will commence. These normally take anything from 7 days to 28 days, depending on how quickly we can obtain this information for clearance.
