Job Description

I have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced IT Support Technician to join a market leading Manufacturer who value and reward their employees to a great extent. My client holds a global presence by designing and distributing high quality products to their prestigious customers around the world.

Whilst reporting to the IT Manager you will be responsible for the first and second line support of the IT infrastructure and training the IT apprentice.

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

- Monitor email filters
- Maintain all hardware allocated to staff members
- Monitor mobile phones out in the field
- Support/Maintain all printers
- Support Microsoft Exchange Server - mailboxes, forwarding of emails, errors etc
- Setup VPN connections and monitor
- Maintain visual equipment around the offices and meeting rooms
- Maintain of the IT server room


With a strong work ethic you will take ownership and be a team player by having a hands-on approach to ensure deadlines are met at all times.

The successful candidate will be a team player, self motivated and highly organised. You will have strong problem solving skills and have excellent Microsoft Office and communication skills, both written and verbal.

You will be a qualified IT Technician with a HND/HNC Degree and experience with a good knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory and Exchange.

The understanding of Virtual Servers and VMWare is desirable.

Salary is £18,000 per annum

Holiday entitlement is 25 days plus Bank Holidays which increases with length of service

Hours of work 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday with an early finish on Fridays
