3rd Line Network Engineer

Immediate start available
Location: Work from home (Hybrid starting from January - Office is in Hampton PE7)
Hours: 7.5hrs per day. Mon - Fri between 8am - 6pm
Salary: £40,000 - £65,000 + on-call (£360pw + 1.5 rate if called out)

Brook Street Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a well-established client is a top leading Managed Service Provider who are looking for a 3rd Line Network Engineer to join their thriving and ever-growing team.

Main Responsibilities as a 3rd Line Network Engineer:

• Respond to incidents logged in the Incident Management system and provide end users with a technical solution within Service Level Agreements.
• Provide a point of technical escalation and expertise.
• Provide support as part of the 24x7 out of hour`s rota
• Maintain technical accreditations in line with catalogued services.
• Cisco, FortiGate, HP, Checkpoint, F5, Palo Alto
• Escalate potential service issues initially with Team Leader/Service Desk Delivery Manager /Service Delivery Managers
• Proactively maintain and develop knowledge, skills and experience through client contact, industry sources, formalised training, and development plan
• Escalate potential problem issues with Problem and Incident Management

Experience Required for 3rd Line Network Engineer:

• Customer Service Experience
• 2-3 years in 3rd Line Engineering
• Communication and interpersonal skills including listening, building rapport, establishing empathy whilst demonstrating awareness of internal and external issues in a calm and polite manner
• Experience of one or two of the following: Cisco, FortiGate, HP, Checkpoint, F5, Palo Alto
• IT Qualifications would be advantageous
