Job Description

My client, a legal 500 and chambers & partners law firm are looking for a 7+ PQE Solicitor with experience of Employment, Insolvency, IP media and planning Law.

Knowledge/experience required:
o Previous experience of working within a law practice.
o Demonstrable experience as a Commercial Litigator with experience in advising on professional negligence, breach of contract and large-scale debt matters, advising both claimants and defendants.
o Excellent organisational skills.
o Excellent Client Care Skills.
o A following demonstrated through previous billing figures
o A working knowledge of Employment, Insolvency Law, IP, Media or Planning Law.


Principal Responsibilities:
o To develop client base and network of referrers and contacts.
o To provide a high standard of service to the Firm`s clients.
o To assist in marketing of the Commercial Litigation Department and the Firm in general.
o Carry out any other duties within the employee`s skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.


Key Working Relationships:
Internal:
o Commercial Litigation Head of Department.
o Other partners of the Firm.
o Other members of the department staff o All other Firm employees.
External:
o Clients and all firm visitors.
o Other Legal Firms, Counsel, and any other contacts.


Person Specification:
o Minimum 7 years post qualification experience.
o Minimum 5 years post qualification experience.
o Excellent professional approach and client handling skills.
o Excellent literacy skills.
o Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
o Excellent attention to detail.
o IT Literate.
o Team player.
