Job Description

The Accommodation Officer ensures that the Accommodation Office functions efficiently and effectively and dedicates themselves to ensure a positive customer experience.

My client is committed to providing high quality accommodation and service to help make their guests stay a pleasurable, positive and enriching experience. One that reflects and projects an image of London as one of the most cosmopolitan, vibrant and exciting cities in the world.

Reporting to the Office Manager and Operation Director the accommodation officers main duties will be:

O Acting as the main point of contact for schools, agents and direct customers
o Organising the day to day running of the department
o Maintaining, and updating the accommodation database
o Responding to all enquiries from schools, agents and direct customers
o Matching clients who are looking for home-stay accommodation and their preferences with available host families and providing alternatives when needed
o To book and confirm accommodation within 48 hours of receiving the booking. This will involve contacting hosts and allocating a student to their preferred accommodation
o Ensuring that the policies and procedures meet the British Council guidelines. That involves ensuring that all families hosting under 18 students are DBS checked
o Issuing invoices and booking confirmations
o Dealing with any customer complaints in an efficient and timely manner
o Taking part in the telephone rota (in conjunction with other administration staff) for emergencies which may occur outside of office hours
o Organising taxi transfers for individuals as well as group arrivals and departures. This includes liaising with the transfer companies and group leaders
o Liaising with external organisations, as and when necessary, to ensure the provision of quality accommodation for all customers ? Gathering and analyse student feedback


£20,000 - £21,000 DOE
