Job Description

Job Title: Account Development Manager
Location: UK-Surrey-Croydon

Overview:
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Corporate Accounts you will work towards a personal gross turnover and business development target. Responsible for the management of an existing portfolio of designated corporate clients. With an emphasis on business development through first class relationship management, the role is to generate account premium growth by identifying new and profitable revenue streams which support both the client and the businesses key strategic objectives.

Hours
Thirty-five hours per week. However, due to the nature of this role hours may vary in line with the needs of the business

Salary
£47,500 plus company car or car allowance of £5k per annum, bonus up to 50%
annual salary


Responsibilities:
Main Duties

Deliver budgeted account turnover via portfolio of existing business and identify new opportunities to generate growth.
Coach prospective and existing clients on the benefits of Allianz Partners products and services, detailing our business model and value proposition
Pursue, negotiate, and close cross-sell opportunities, leading senior executives into active partnerships.
Active cross functional management to ensure accounts within portfolio run smoothly. Ability to manage and influence key internal and external stakeholders.
Develop strategic initiatives to drive conversion and increase product and service revenues for both clients and the business.
Develop, implement and manage key account strategies.
Monitor and track industry developments, taking account of these in managing accounts and developing new business
Liaise and communicate with Underwriting, Compliance, Sales Support, IT, Marketing, Finance, HR and Operations areas within the business to ensure that good relationships are maintained.
Ensure that any new business won with both existing and new clients is managed and maintained on an on-going basis
To provide accurate reports which may include: Budgets; Monthly Sales Activity reports and Strategic account strategy (this may include a competitor analysis)

You will also be responsible for the following;

Health & Safety
To ensure that your work area is kept safe and tidy at all times.
To abide by the Health & Safety Work Act 1974.
To notify the Company Health & Safety officer or the Managing Director of any Health & Safety issues which may cause harm to fellow employees.

Training
To advise your Manager of any areas of work for which you require any additional training.
Quality Management System
To work as a member of a team within the quality system and follow all documented quality procedures and instructions.

Key Performance Areas
To work towards achieving 100% on all Company, departmental, team and individual key performance targets.

Appraisals
Participate and contribute towards individual annual appraisals, team meetings and regular one-to-one assessment sessions.

General
To manage or assist with relevant ad-hoc projects as required by the Senior Account Manager/ Head of Key Accounts
Complete all appropriate administration.
Provide relevant reports to the Senior Account Manager/ Head of Key Accounts on a monthly basis.
Carry out any other additional duties as requested by the Senior Account Manager/ Head of Key Accounts from time to time within the scope of your role.

Regulatory
To work within and be compliant at all times with all relevant regulations and legislation applicable to the role.

Qualifications:
Essential

Special skills / knowledge
Should be well presented in line with working within a corporate environment
Good standard of general education (A 'Level or equivalent)
Proven evidence of experience within the following areas:
General Insurance Industry / Banking industry background
Excellent level of stakeholder management and experience to Client level and above
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate confident
