Excellent opportunity has arisen for an independent family run business. The good news is that they have experienced significant growth in the last year and have been successful in winning new business. So much so they are seeking an additional member of staff to join their team of experienced account managers. Exciting times ahead as they continue to grow.
The role will be based at their Head Office in St Albans. You will be required to be based there 2 to 3 times a week and the remainder of the week will be out in the field. The company offer an array of quality products backed with a traditional service as well as a multi-channel offering. They provide clothing predominantly for the education sector across the UK.
Your main purpose within the role will be to maintain existing relationships with key accounts. You will be the clients first point of contact and identify the customers needs to try and generate extra sales for the business and grow the account.
The role will involve managing a portfolio of accounts ,arrange and attend client meetings on a twice annual basis (no overnight stays required) ,report on previous year sales and suggest any improvements ,offer new and forward thinking ideas ,identify and suggest trends ,keep the communication channel going throughout the year ,aim to extend client contracts ,attend relevant industry conferences and ensure customer loyalty is maintained.
The role requires you to have a background with key account management ideally within the clothing industry. It is beneficial to have a good awareness of garment compositions and manufacturing processes.
The salary range is £35-40K depending on experience.
