Job Description

Based in Salford our market leading energy management consultancy with a strong pedigree in exceeding customer expectations including energy procurement, tenant re-billing, energy assessment & validation, carbon & green energy are looking for a Key Account Manager to join the team.

They are seeking an energetic and dynamic person, with energy/utilities industry experience, to lead a team of experienced account managers.

You will have autonomy in your role to develop established customer relationships and maximise revenue streams through cross-selling and up-selling additional services. As new accounts enter the AU world, you may also be expected to nurture the growth and establish these customers by providing the best customer experience possible.

It is a fast-paced environment, where you will thrive on working within a strong peer group and work closely with new business development and operations departments.

The Role
"Be the custodian of the relationship with a range of existing customers
"Develop and maintain long-term relationships with accounts - existing and new
"Identify and generate account growth by the introduction of new services from our portfolio
"Manage customer projects for services whether it is installation of new meters or delivery of energy assessment reports in a timely and professional manner
"Manage and drive best practice across the account management team
"Lead by example and improve existing processes
"Work with the senior management team to develop robust business strategies and report on department performance
"Forge relationships with internal stake holders including new business development, operations and Board so we can understand and deliver client demands
"Work with external stake holders to maintain and develop business levels including market advice, guidance and forecasting

The Person
"Previous experience of account management ideally from the energy market
"Strong commercial knowledge
"Excellent written and verbal communications skills
"Confident in speaking with and delivering customer solutions
"Strong people management skills including a consultative and persuasive approach
"Good at listening to client's needs and develop solutions
"Pro-active attitude to work effectively and efficiently under pressure
"Strong numeracy, Excel and bespoke business systems skills,
