Job Description

We're a well established firm within the financial sector based in Potters Bar who now have an exciting opportunity open up for a part qualified Accountant to work within the Finance Governance and Controls department.

Your duties will be to;
-Complete balance sheet reconciliations to a good quality and on a timely basis, looking into and escalating any reconciling items with accounts as appropriate.
-Assisting with the balance sheet review process- to be able to perform the process then investigate and submit the analytical review for presentation to the chief UK Accountant.
-To assist with the data framework activities and data register held in SharePoint such as, working with business functions in the maintenance of the individual data sets, manage and facilitate data set by the data register owners, maintain and issues and remediation log and assisting the finance and Governance Controls Manager with the preparation of a quarterly data quality report for review and approval by the UK chief Accountant.
-To assist the finance governance and controls manager with the maintenance and monitoring of the requirements regarding the design, effectiveness and testing of internal controls over financial reporting.
-Assisting with the maintenance and administration of the supplier contracts management system.

The successful candidate will be;
-Part ACCA qualified (ideally with 3 papers remaining)
-Holds a background working within the financial sector
-Able to build relationships with people of different levels
-Hold good Microsoft Office skills in Word, Excel and SharePoint
