Job Description
We are recruiting for a highly experienced Accounts Assistant to join a family run business who are looking for a dynamic, outgoing and driven individual who is willing to `hit the ground running` in assisting a friendly and welcoming team in their day to day operations.
They are looking for someone with a strong work ethic who is eager to develop their existing skills within the business.
Key Responsibilities
" Processing Sales & Purchase Orders within Sage 200
" Interaction with customers and suppliers; building strong relationships
" Resolving customer queries in a timely manner
" Liaising with 3rd party companies including carrier and freight companies
" Maintaining a proactive and dynamic approach at all times to ensure a high level of customer service
" Management of own work load and tracking progress of outstanding orders / customer contracts
" Multi-tasking and managing changing priorities
" Problem solving and providing solutions as necessary
" Answering the phone, taking messages and directing calls as appropriate
" General office duties (filing, incoming & outgoing mail, ordering stationery / office provisions)
" Attending meetings and keeping up to date with internal matters
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
Essential
Microsoft Office / IT systems (ability to pick up new systems quickly)
Sales & Purchase Order Processing
Ability to interact with colleagues, customers and suppliers effectively
Strong written and oral communication skills
Exceptional telephone manner
Self-motivated & able to work on own initiative
Accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to gain an understanding of, and follow company systems and procedures
Willingness to learn
Desirable
Experience with Sage 200
Background in an Industry Environment
