Our client, an established City Underwriter, is offering a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start their career in finance and accounts.

You may be a college leaver who has a genuine interest to follow this path -perhaps with a Btec in Business or good academic A levels. The role will allow you to learn on the job in a team of experienced professionals around you for guidance and support.

You may have had the opportunity to have done some work experience in an accounts department learning the ropes or you may have worked locally for a while and are now looking to progress further.

As the Accounts Administrator, your key responsibilities will involve

Record all incoming invoices on the document management system (SharePoint) and
create purchase ledger journals.
Process all incoming invoices for approval, ensuring all invoices are approved in a
timely manner.
Record employee expenses claims on SharePoint and post journals to the SUN
accounting package ('SUN').
Reconciliation of supplier accounts and allocation of payments.
Prepare details for all new employees, suppliers and customers for entry into SUN.
Prepare and submit and cheques received by the Group for banking.
Coordinate all incoming mail, distributing to the relevant parties.
Liaison with other departments on ad hoc accounting and administration matters.

You should have good knowledge of Excel and a willingness to take professional exams in the future where the company will support you.
