Job Description

Brook Street is working with our client in Mallusk who are a young, innovative, fast paced and family-oriented company

They have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join our growing finance function.

They are looking for someone who has a willingness to learn, has a friendly outgoing personality, confident, takes pride in their work and likes to get the job done right. Experience or a background in accounts work would be advantageous.

As the company grows the accounting team will be an important component of our business and will play a vital role in overseeing the financial operational needs of the business.

Day to day duties of an Accounts Assistant / Technician:

* Assisting with the monthly management accounts
* Sales ledger and Aged Debtors Analysis
* Credit Control
* Ensuring that invoices are posted to the correct nominals
* Monthly reconciliation of supplier accounts to supplier statements
* Performing monthly supplier payment run
* Ensuring that all payments are correctly allocated on the system
* Bank reconciliations
* Proving support with year-end audits
* Other requests from the Financial Controller

To be considered for this position, applicants must demonstrate the following skills and experience:

* At least 1 years` experience within a similar role
* Experience with GP Dynamics or similar software
* Applicant must hold Accounting Technician qualification or be qualified by experience
* Competent using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and advanced Excel
* Excellent team player, able to develop good relationships with colleagues
* Able to work on own initiative and prioritise work
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Experience working within a fast-paced environment
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
