Job Description

Brook Street have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join a well known chartered accounting firm in Truro!

To be considered for this role as Accounts Assistant it is desired if you have had previous practice experience and have up to date knowledge and experience in providing payroll/auto enrolment services and assisting with bookkeeping and accounts work.

For this position as an Accounts Assistant the role will include:

-Managing the firm's payroll bureau including processing payrolls, managing auto-enrolment and CIS submissions
-Assisting with bookkeeping and accounts preparation work as necessary
-Liaising with clients both face to face and over the phone
-Training junior members of staff.

Essential requirements are:

-Recent experience in operating payroll/auto enrolment services and CIS submissions and up to date with payroll legislation
-Proficient with Sage Payroll or equivalent
-Excellent communication skills
-Attention to detail
-Must have a professional approach and be happy to work as part of a small team

Full - time are 36 hours 9am - 5.15pm Monday - Thursday and 9 - 5pm on Fridays with an hour lunch break. Part-time hours can also be considered for the right candidate. In return our Client offers a competitive salary package.
