Based in Central London, our client is a reputable company looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.
This job would suit a candidate with experience in accounting and will be responsible for full book-keeping and accounting services including preparation of their VAT returns. The job will also involve posting purchase and sales invoices and reconciling respective accounts, bank and petty cash posting and reconciliation, posting payroll journals as well as accounts to Trial Balance stage.
The successful individual will have a basic understanding of accounting processes, procedures and month end deadlines. The candidate should have effective communication and organisational skills with the ability to achieve targets whilst maintaining accuracy. This is suited for an individual with analytical and problem solving skills as well as good level competence in Excel and accounting packages such as Sage or VT.
Duties will include:
- Daily banking and monthly bank reconciliations
- Purchase ledger function
- Sales Ledger function
- Reconcile Client Accounts
- Petty cash posting on the System
- Assisting in Payroll duties for a number of clients
- Adhoc duties as required
