Job Description

We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to work for our client within DVSA based in Harehills. This will be a long term temporary assignment.

Hours: Monday-Friday 9-5 (Flexible working hours available)

Salary: Starts at £8.21 and rises to £8.98 after 12 weeks

About the role:
The purpose of the administrative assistant is to support OTC (Licensing) in carrying out its wide range of administrative duties by providing a quality service, in a high volume environment contributing towards meeting objectives and key targets.

Key Responsibilities:
-Processing incoming mail
-Assisting with outgoing mail making sure it is franked and bagged correctly
- Filing and photocopying
-Providing administrative support to team leaders
-Dealing with customer queries
-Inputting data
-Registering applications
-Printing operator licensing discs, bus permits and community licences

Skills and experience:
-Good written and verbal communication
-Previous administrative experience
-Strong IT knowledge of Microsoft packages e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook
-Good analysis and problem solving
-Strong organisational skills
-Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
