Job Description

The Ministry of Justice - Admin Assistant
Location: Leeds City Centre
Hours: Monday - Friday (37 hours)
Pay: £8.72 per hour

This is an ongoing temporary position with the possibility of a further extension at the discretion of the business requirements.

Role Overview:
We are currently recruiting for a full time Administration Assistant to join the Team at the Leeds County Courts with our client, The Ministry of Justice based in Leeds City Centre. The role will include working as part of a flexible team. This is a very interesting role, carrying out effective and efficient assistant support to the team and customer care support to the courts. You would need to provide administration support ensuring staff & service users are supported through efficient processes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working as part of a team and will require interaction with members of the Judiciary
  • Processing casework such as court orders, claims, fines and fees
  • Preparing papers and files for court, tribunals, hearings and meetings
  • Use of local IT system, Outlook and Word
  • Producing court documents
  • Receiving and distributing information and communications in an appropriate manner e.g telephone, paper, e-mail
  • Court Marshalling ensuring all level of court users are directed where to go
  • Making sure all court users are following social distancing guidelines
  • Ushering court users in and out of the court room
  • Completing some administration duties assisting the Admin Officers

  • This is quite an active role
