Job Description

We are looking for an Admin Assistant to work for the Ministry of Justice located in Leeds City Centre. The rate of pay will be £7.83 per hour and will increase to £7.92 after 12 weeks. Monday-Friday. This will be a temporary long term assignment.

The role will include general admin duties - Please see below duties and criteria for this role:
" Post clerk - printing incoming emails
" Locating the files using the in house computer system and linking the email to the paper case file before passing it to the relevant team.
" Opening and date stamping post received by Royal Mail or courier service
" Sending out the mail at the end of the day.


This is a busy role which demands speed and accuracy. The candidate may be asked to cover reception duties for an hour each day on an ad hoc basis and therefore needs to be confident with meeting members of the public.
The candidate may also be required to complete photocopying filing, and other routine admin duties as and when required. The core hours are 37 per week and there will be a requirement to work until 5:00pm on some days


A Basic DBS check will be carried out so you will need to be able to pass this

The role is available to start ASAP, we would need to get all references back in order to start the role.
*Please note working for the Ministry of Justice will require you to have photographic ID. This can be a Full length Birth Certificate supported by a driving or provisional licence in your current address OR an in date passport*
