Brook Street is very excited to be recruiting for an Administration Assistant for the Ministry of Justice based in Branston.
For this particular role, the Administration Assistant will be required to carry out the following as a despatch team member:
Photocopying large volumes of sensitive personal information held on offenders that has been requested by the data subject or their representative under the Data Protection Act 1998. The information may have had relevant exemptions under the Act engaged to withhold certain information that cannot be released and the post holder must ensure that these redactions have been `blacked out` by the photocopier to ensure that the information cannot be read. The disclosable information will then securely despatched and issued with a template response letter.
The post holder will also be responsible for receiving in-coming post, completing other administration tasks including filing and weeding. As some files can be large, the post holders will be expected to complete manual handling and climb ladders.
Full training will be provided but you will be expected to have basic IT skills of word and excel.
Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidates will require a basic DBS.
The role is Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm and is full-time, 37hrs per week.
Candidates will be paid the National Minimum Wage (NWR) £7.70 - £8.21/hr.
