Job Description

Brook Street are recruiting on behalf of a Public Sector client based in Wakefield; we have numerous roles available for customer service focused individuals on a Full time basis. This will initially be for a three month period, with the possibility of being extended.

The hours are from 9am - 5pm

Who we are:

NHS Shared business Services provides a Financial Service to our NHS clients. Our team is a customer focused environment, providing services that includes the provision of financial ledger, maintenance of a standard interface gateway into the general ledger, and the full integration of the sub and general ledgers. Also included are flexible month and year-end closing, with system generated non purchase order (non-PO) and Goods Received Not invoiced (GRNI) accruals reporting and interface file upload.

Role Overview:

The general ledger team are looking to fill a new position for a General Ledger Admin Support. We are looking for an individual with admin experience to work in our General Ledger Team. You will be responsible for supporting and working closely with the GL team on a variety of admin tasks including email mailbox management, taking client calls and messages, specific client activities, working in the Wakefield office on various days of the month.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Logging queries from mailbox onto CRM system
  • Managing email mailboxes
  • Data Input
  • Supporting the team with the reconciliation pack process
  • Running monthly reports
  • Answering the teams group telephone line and logging calls into CRM
  • Processing ledger re-opening's on client request

Essential Skills:

  • Needs to be able to competent use Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word etc
  • Professional telephone manner
  • Able to escalate quickly to senior members of the team
  • Good personality and able to interface with other team members
  • Excellent team player
  • Good organisational skills
  • Previous administration experience
  • Pro activeness


Hours- Full Time - 9-5pm
This role will be offering a pay rate of £9.90.
