Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has opened up to work full time in a temporary position in Runcorn, within a Government body as an Administration Officer. This role is for approx 3 months with possible extension.
You will be working 37 hours a week, Monday through to Friday.
The pay rate will be is £10.83

The role will involve:

The Temporary Worker will provide administrative support. He or she will follow set procedures and will exercise some independent judgement in carrying out instructions, under general supervision. Examples of work performed will include but not be restricted to:

- Collating and analysing fairly complex information or data, submitting results in a written report

- Overseeing administrative procedures and processes

- Assisting with budget preparation and control, if required

- Acting as a administrative liaison with internal and / or external sources

- Preparing routine correspondence

- Support the procurement teams in terms of additional contract management in areas of exceptional poor performance by suppliers

- Provide high quality project, service, initiative and administrative support including information and analysis to support specific supplier performance issues

- Liaise with suppliers in the management of exception poor performance by suppliers who are awarded onto a CMU framework agreement

- Assist in the resolution of supplier and stakeholder queries

- Undertake reporting and analysis of information to support an improvement in performance by suppliers this could include management of stock information as and when required

- Collate and present data on a regular basis to assist in the management of poor performance and supply issues

- Assist the procurement teams in the setting up of regular management information / monitoring if required for a particular framework agreement

- Provide contract management meeting support in terms of arranging meetings, minute taking, managing actions agreed at the meetings

- Where required work to improve relevant contact group information for each product area / team

Typical qualifications and experience:

- Five GCSEs at Grade C or above or equivalent (including English Language or equivalent)

- NVQ Business Administration Level 2 (or suitable clerical experience)

- Administrative experience with a good knowledge of and experience in using Microsoft Office

- Good communication skills, both oral and written

We are looking for someone who has had previous exposure to working within a similar role, dealing with administration and customer service on various levels, computer and communication skills are vital for this role.
