Job Description
We are currently recruiting for an Admin officer to work with one of our fantastic Public Sector clients In Newport.
This a 6 month temporary position initially with chance of extension with possibility of extension, but one in which you would be able to gain valuable exposure/experience working within the Public Sector.
If you have worked within the public sector before this would be advantageous but not essential. If you have transferable experience, then we would love to hear from you.
Our client HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS) is an agency of the Ministry of Justice.? HMCTS provides administrative support for the legal system across England and Wales, ensuring justice works for everyone.?

Key Responsibilities to include:
Preparing papers and files, including documents for court, tribunals, hearings, and meetings.
- Creating and Updating records on the in-house system, including collecting information.
- Booking, preparing, and organising meeting rooms and court hearings.
- Processing casework such as court orders, claims, and fines.
- Clerking Civil and Family Courts.
- Handling counter (face to face) and answering telephone calls.
- Communicating with Judiciary, Magistracy, and other court staff to provide excellent customer service.
- Working under pressure and delivering a "right first time" service to all.
Other duties:
- Required to work flexible
- Assist with other duties
Candidate requirements:
Have previous experience within an administration role (preferable)
Have good IT skills, proficient using Microsoft package
Be able to remain calm under pressure
Be a confident speaker
Essential working part of a team
Be able to work with very confidential and sensitive information
Be able to provide 3 years of referencing and pass a basic DBS check
Standard hours are 37 hours per week Monday - Friday.
Pay rate of £11.88 per hour which is paid weekly.
