Job Description

Job Opportunity: Admin Officer

Brook Street is currently seeking a skilled Admin Officer to join our esteemed government client's team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, contributing to vital operations.

Contract Length: Initial contract until the end of October 2024.

Pay Rate: £17.39 per hour

Work Arrangement: Hybrid working model, with 2 days per week required in the Swindon-based office. The role entails 35 hours of work per week.


  • Deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with clients.
  • Proactively monitor accounts to identify potential billing issues.
  • Communicate with business clients via phone and email regarding overdue payments and outstanding balances.
  • Effectively resolve customer queries and disputes related to billing and payments, collaborating with internal teams as necessary.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • GCSEs at Grade C or above, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, advanced Excel (including Pivot Tables, V Lookups, formulas, filters, and "track changes" functionality).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
