Job Description
We are looking for an Admin Officer to work for our client within DVSA based in Harehills. This will be a long term temporary assignment.
Hours: Monday-Friday 9-5 (Flexible working hours available)
Salary: Starts at £8.36 and rises to £10.84 after 12 weeks
About the role:
To work as part of a team providing support for the traffic commissioners (TCs) to enable them to undertake their statutory duties in relation to the licensing and regulation of goods and public service vehicle operators. This is an operational role where the post-holder will be responsible for processing new and variation applications for goods vehicle/public passenger vehicle operator licences and bus registrations on behalf of the traffic commissioners.
Key Responsibilities:
-Inputting data and processing applications
-Managing a large number of task with completing deadlines
- Dealing with customer queries
- Filing and photocopying
-Providing administrative support to team leaders
-Processing application in line with current legislation
-Referring cases that doe not meet the requirements
Skills and experience:
-Good written and verbal communication
-Previous administrative experience
-Strong IT knowledge of Microsoft packages e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook
-Good analysis and problem solving
-Strong organisational skills
-Ability to collate and analyse complex information or data
