Job Description
Ministry of Justice (MOJ) - Fines Officer
The day-to-day role will entail helping the courts re gain money for fines that have been issued by either the courts or the government, your role will be to help secure the payment back and work out the best methods for the person to pay, this could include setting up instalment plans depending on the customer's financial state.
This role is challenging yet rewarding therefore requires someone who can work well under pressure, has some admin experience and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
" Preparing paper and files for Court.
" Enforcement of financial impositions using designated Fines Officer Powers.
" General photocopying and filing.
" Examining various sources of information to create and update records on in-house computer system with speed and accuracy
" Post opening and dispatch.
" Standard letters and correspondence, minutes, notes, reports, submissions etc, according to guidelines and instructions
" To work to workload targets in terms of throughput and accuracy. Processing Casework
" To deliver a helpful, prompt, polite and "right first time" service to our internal and external customers
" Collection of financial impositions imposed by the court.
