Our client is based in Darlington and is looking for someone to join their existing team on a temporary, part-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to work within the public sector.
Our client deals with tribunals for special education and disability needs and your role will be to handle various administrative duties that come with the position. These will include, but not be limited to:
Dealing with paperwork from parents
Registering new appeals and claims as well as dealing with queries relating to these claims
Producing Hearing bundles
Updating attendance details
Dealing with parties special needs at hearings and set up local venue requests
Sending out requests for reimbursements
Dealing with various appeals
Some of the above duties will depend on which department you will be based in.
This role is on a temporary basis working 26 hours a week. The ideal pattern for our client would be Monday 11-5, Tuesday to Friday 12-5. The pay rate will start at £7.70 or £8.36, depending on your National Living Wage level, and will rise to £9.59 after working 12 weeks in the role.
The successful candidate should have a proven track record in admin, have excellent communication skills and be well organised as well as being able to use their own initiative.
This position will require the candidate to hold a current DBS. A DBS that is on the update system can be accepted otherwise you would need to apply for one through Brook Street when offered the role.
