Admin Officer (Avian Flu Outbreak)
37 hours per week (Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:00)
£10.90 p/h
Temporary until end of March 2021 with good chance of extension
Working from Home

Our large Public Sector client are looking for administrators to join their team. This is a temporary post until March 2021 with chase of extension. The role will initially be working from home, with work laptops being provided & full training will be given virtually online.
In this role you will provide general administrative support to Avian Influenza related work which is currently in high demand. This role will requires excellent attention to detail due to the involvement of analysing Export Health Certificates in regards to the Outbreak support we currently require.
Other duties will be to deliver administrative support to the Customer Service Centre delivering functions within the general business unit. This involves liaising with APHA customers on a daily basis and being responsible for delivering administrative processes and procedures. This will involve taking responsibility for updating information systems, inputting data into databases, liaising with the public, colleagues and providing advice and guidance on policies and procedures

o Take responsibility and accountability for the delivery of your workload within a set timescales and within the agreed administrative procedures.
o Input data and information onto the bespoke APHA data capture systems used within your Business Unit ensuring data quality is maintained and records and files are updated
o Releasing and protecting information in accordance with APHA Data Handling requirements and GDPR, in a professional format
o Provide administration support to Avian influenza related work e.g. through analysing Export Health Certificates in response to any outbreaks recorded across the country.
o To respond positively to change as and when this will be needed.
o To work within a framework of instructions or established procedures and identify areas where work processes can be improved.
o To respond to a Disease outbreak or Business Continuity incident and support the recovery
