Administrative Officer
Location: Hybrid - Centre City Tower office (Birmingham) + Local Probation Office
Hours: Full-time (37 hours) | Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm or 8am-4pm (flexibility needed)
Contract: Temporary until November 2025 (May be chance of an extension)
Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour (Paid on a weekly basis)

Want to make a difference behind the scenes of the UK justice system? We're looking for an organised and detail-oriented Administrative Officer to join our Probation Notification Actioning Project Team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment where your accuracy and communication skills will make a real impact.
Please note: this role involves repetitive tasks and is well-suited to individuals who enjoy structure, consistency, and routine work.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Managing a busy system where prison appointment notifications are received
- Responding to enquiries that may come through with the notifications
- Processing appointment data and entering it accurately onto various internal systems and spreadsheets
- Liaising with providers to confirm attendance where needed
- Meeting tight deadlines with a strong eye for detail
This is a fully computer-based role that requires strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established processes consistently.
Working Pattern:
- Training Period (Fully Onsite): Centre City Tower office (Birmingham) there isn't a set time for training, this could be a month or so
- Post-Training Hybrid Model:
- 1 day per week at Centre City Tower office (Mondays)
- 2 days per week at a local probation office (flexible based on your location)
- 2 days per week working from home
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- Solid Excel skills and general IT confidence
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage a consistent workload and meet deadlines
