My government client based in Manchester City Centre, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to work within the Public Sector as a Admin Officer.
You will provide administrative support and be required to clerk hearings. This is a very customer focused role and so the right candidate must have excellent communication skills, be able to work under pressure and deal with issues in a calm and professional manner. He or she will follow set procedures and will exercise some independent judgment in carrying out instructions, under general supervision. Examples of work performed will include but not be restricted to:
o Completing casework duties
o acting as an administrative liaison, through clerking, with internal and/or external sources.
o preparing routine correspondence.
Typical qualifications and experience: five GCSEs at Grade C or above or equivalent (including English Language or equivalent), NVQ Business Administration Level 2, or suitable clerical experience. Administrative experience with a good knowledge of and experience in using Microsoft Office. Good communication skills, both oral and written.
This position is full time temporary position initially for 3 months with the potential of being extended. The working hours are 09:00-17:00pm. Pay rate will start at £7.98 and will rise to £9.97 after 12 weeks.
As this role is within the Government Sector, we will require seeing 3 years` worth of references and you will be required to undertake a criminal DBS check.
