Job Description

The Ministry of Justice - Admin Officer
Location: Leeds City Centre
Salary: £8.36ph increasing to £9.59ph after 12 weeks
Hours: Monday - Friday (37 hours)

This is an ongoing temporary position with the possibility of a further extension or a permanent placement, at the discretion of the business requirements.

Role Overview:
We are currently recruiting for a full time Administration Officer to join the Team at the Probate Registry with our client, The Ministry of Justice based in Leeds City Centre. The role will include working as part of a flexible team. You will be the essential first point of contact for individuals who are trying to gain the rights to deal with the estate of a deceased person. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an organisation that offers training and a great working environment.

- To ensure the smooth running of the hearings, ensuring all files are ready and prepped for court and setting up the courts in readiness for hearings
- Post opening and receipting cheques
- Data entry
- Using Microsoft Excel - on a daily basis
- Photocopying
- Answering the phone and attending the counter to speak to customers
- Post dispatching
- Liaising with the HM Courts & Tribunal Service

What we are looking for:
- Ability to work within a team
- Excellent Microsoft Excel knowledge
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Customer Service
