Brook Street is very excited to be recruiting for a truly unique Administration Officers role for the Ministry of Justice based in Branston.
For this particular role, the Administration Officer will be known as a vetter and as such will be required to read and vet data of a very sensitive nature.
There will be a huge amount of reading of sensitive personal information held on offenders. This will then have been requested by the data subject or their representative under the Data Protection Act 2018. The vetter will then need to apply any relevant exemptions under the Act to redact and withhold certain information that cannot be released.
Full training will be given, taking several months, involving a lot of support and supervision with monitoring to ensure full 100% competancy is achieved.
Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidates will require a basic DBS.
As well as a love of reading, you will need to have the ability to not take your work home at the end of the day and completely switch off from what you have read.
The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, for 6 months initially and due to start ASAP.
Once the initial training has been completed, the hours can become flexible, ranging from 07:30 - 15:30 through to 10:00 - 18:00, totalling 37 hours. The core hours being 10.00 - 15:30 when you must be at work.
The pay rate starts at NWR, £7.70 - £8.36/hr for the first 12 completed working weeks before increasing to £9.59/hr.
