Job Description

The Ministry of Justice - Admin Officer ( District Magistrates Court)
Location: Leeds
Hours: Monday - Friday (37 hours)

Pay: £9.78ph

Office opening hours are 09:00- 17:00

This is an ongoing temporary position with the possibility of a further extension at the discretion of the business requirements.

Role Overview:
We are currently recruiting for a full time Administration Officer to join the Team with our client, The Ministry of Justice based in Leeds. The role is public facing and requires the suitable candidate to provide administrative support.

Responsibilities include:

  • duties to include use of Microsoft word, excel spreadsheets,
  • entering data onto computer system,
  • use of different on-line portals,
  • Post in and out, photocopying and scanning.
  • Good organisational skills, ability to work on dual screens essential, good IT and keyboard skills.
  • On the job training given, accuracy, punctuality, willingness to be flexible and adapt to different type of work
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines essential, positive attitude, low sickness record, positive can-do attitude, must be able to work as part of a team and use own initiative,
  • must be able to work with minimum supervision, quick to learn and retain information once trained.
  • Must have good customer service skills both on the telephone and at a public enquiry counter,
  • must remain calm under pressure and have the ability to deal with challenging customers.
  • Must have wifi at home as home working is completed on a rota basis currently once a week.
