Brook Street is very excited to be recruiting for 15 truly unique Administration Officers for the Ministry of Justice based in Branston.
For these particular roles, the Administration Officers will be known as vetters and as such will be required to read and vet data of a very sensitive nature.
There will be a huge amount of reading of sensitive personal information held on offenders. This will then have been requested by the data subject or their representative under the Data Protection Act 2018. The vetter will then need to apply any relevant exemptions under the Act to redact and withhold certain information that cannot be released.
Full training will be given, taking several months, involving a lot of support and supervision with monitoring to ensure full 100% competancy is achieved.
Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidates will require a basic DBS.
As well as a love of reading, you will need to have the ability to not take your work home at the end of the day and completely switch off from what you have read.
The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, for one year and due to start on 1st December 2018.
Once the initial training has been completed, the hours can become flexible, ranging from 07:30 - 15:30 through to 10:00 - 18:00.
The pay rate starts at £7.98/hr for the first 12 completed working weeks before increasing to £9.45/hr.
