Job Description

Our client located in Blackpool is seeking an experienced Administration Officer to work Monday - Friday for 37 hours each week.

The Agency Worker will provide administrative support. He or she will follow set procedures and will exercise some independent judgment in carrying out instructions, under general supervision. Examples of work performed will include but not be restricted to:

" completing administrative procedures and processes following receipt of training
" acting as administrative liaison with internal and/or external sources - e.g. Judiciary and professional court users
" processing routine correspondence
" processing orders on Children Act cases (which can be complex)
" participating in post, telephone and counter rotas

Typical qualifications and experience: five GCSEs at Grade C or above or equivalent (including English Language or equivalent), NVQ Business Administration Level 2, or suitable clerical experience. Administrative experience with a good knowledge of and experience in using general Microsoft Office but predominantly Outlook. Effective communication skills, both oral and written.

Preparing papers and files for court, tribunals, hearings and
meetings.

Producing court/tribunal documents.

General photocopying and filing.

Creating and updating records on in-house computer system
and data input.

Post opening and dispatch.

Booking, preparing and organising meeting rooms
Clerking civil and family courts, tribunals and hearings,
ensuring papers and materials are available and up to date

Assisting court users, supporting listing and rota
management, checking files

Contacting relevant parties, scheduling, serving court
documents, executing a range of warrants, collecting fines
and fees etc, including the use of chip and pin

Handling counter (face to face), written and telephone
enquiries.
