Job Title: Admin Officer - County Court (via Brook Street)

📍 Barnet County Court | 💷 £15.59 per hour | 🕘 37 hours per week (Mon-Fri)
📄 Temporary assignment until 30/09/2026 | Fully office-based (5 days on site)


About the Role

Brook Street Recruitment are currently recruiting Administrative Officers to join Barnet County Court. This is a great opportunity to support the day-to-day running of a busy court environment within HM Courts & Tribunals Service.

Successful candidates will provide essential administrative and operational support across a range of court functions. Duties may vary depending on team allocation and business needs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Processing court documentation and case-related correspondence
  • Updating and maintaining accurate records on internal systems
  • Managing case files in line with court procedures
  • Handling telephone, email, and face-to-face enquiries professionally
  • Scanning, uploading, and securely storing sensitive documents
  • Liaising with judiciary, legal professionals, court users, and internal teams
  • Supporting hearings, including assisting within courtrooms where required
  • Providing general administrative support to ensure efficient day-to-day operations

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous administrative and/or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment (essential)
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional and confident manner when dealing with customers and stakeholders
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure
  • Proactive approach with the ability to use initiative
