My Public Sector client based in Birmingham City Centre is looking for Counter Officers to work within their offices in a customer facing role.

The Counter Service Officers working within customer service offices and centres. You will contribute to safeguarding identity through manager customers arriving to counter services and carrying out related activity to deliver world class customer service.
The ideal candidate will have adequate administration and customer service experience. You will be content with working in a front facing environment dealing directly with customers.
Key Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Greeting all customers and visitors at reception and provide appropriate assistance
- Effectively organise the daily appointments, welcoming customers, setting expectations, explaining the process, putting customers at ease and handling queries including complaints
- Check customers in for appointments at the appropriate time, complete required checks and establish if applicant is fit for interview
- Plan and prepare for all allotted interviews, ensuring that any required special arrangements are facilitated
The role will be full time (37 hours per week) working Monday to Friday but, flexibility to work occasional Saturday's is required. The pay rate for this role will be £9.06 rising to £11.10 after 12 weeks.
This role will be subject to passing higher clearance. For this, a 10 year current passport will be required as well as being resident in the UK for the last five years.
