Administration Officer in Croydon

Type: Long-term temporary

Salary: £8.48/ hour - £11.36 ph after 12 weeks

Brook Street has been chosen as a recruitment partner to hire temporary admin and clerical workers for central government departments across the UK - giving you the chance to gain credible experience in the public sector.

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a local government department for an Administration Officer in Croydon. This is an ongoing, long-term temporary assignment, working full time hours and many of these opportunities offer a significant pay increase on completion of 12 weeks in the same department.

  • Providing administrative support, your duties will include:
  • Collating and analysing fairly complex information or data, submitting results in a written report
  • Overseeing administrative procedures and processes
  • Assisting with budget preparation and control, if required
  • Acting as a administrative liaison with internal and / or external sources
  • Preparing routine correspondence

Typical qualifications and experience required:

  • Five GCSEs at Grade C or above or equivalent (including English Language or equivalent)
  • NVQ Business Administration Level 2 (or suitable clerical experience)
  • Administrative experience with a good knowledge of and experience in using Microsoft Office
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written
