Job Description

The Ministry of Justice - Executive Officer
Location: Bradford Tribunals BD3
Hours: Monday - Friday (37 hours)
Pay: 10.97ph

This is an ongoing temporary position with the possibility of a further extension at the discretion of the business requirements.

Role Overview:
We are currently recruiting for a full time Executive Officer to join the Team at the Direct Lodgement Centre with our client, The Ministry of Justice based in Bradford. The role will include working as part of a team on behalf of the Regional support unit team for national business centres internally

Responsibilities include:

  • Act as a central point of contact for knowledge bases and information banks in the NBC, taking responsibility for content updates, refreshes and reviews.
  • Identify knowledge or guidance gaps in both local, national, and external knowledge bases and refer updates to appropriate groups for action
  • Review the effectiveness of knowledge bases and guidance/job cards to ensure adequate application of knowledge
  • Maintain and review skills matrixes to ensure adequate levels of skills, training, and competence, working with regional management colleagues to flag requirements/recommendations
  • Collect feedback from colleagues, stakeholders and customers to identify areas for knowledge and training improvement and collaborate with offices to co-ordinate knowledge initiatives.
  • Conduct surveys with colleagues and customers to understand areas for development and deliver action plans or recommendations to management teams
  • Work with Customer Contact & Experience colleagues to design and/or implement initiatives to improve the knowledge/skills of customer contact staff within the NBC region
  • Conduct workshops and training to deliver knowledge initiatives across the NBC, working with HQ colleagues and the Learning & Development coordinator to identify these opportunities
  • To collaborate with Regional Leads in relation to Customer Service Improvement.


What we are looking for

  • Clear and effective communication skills
  • Good drafting and writing skills
  • Ability to devise schedules, plans, and routines
  • Able to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative
  • Able to identify opportunities for ongoing improvement
  • Able to identify gaps in knowledge, skills, or resources
  • Familiarity with some/any of the NBC services and procedures will be beneficial
  • Knowledge of learning and skills management would be beneficial
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point).
