Job Description

The Ministry of Justice - Admin Officer
Location: Bradford & Keighley Magistrates Court
Hours: Monday - Friday (37 hours)

Pay: £10.86 per hour

This is a temporary contract Until March 2022 but possibility for review for extension

Role Overview:
We are currently recruiting for a full time Administration Officer to join the Team at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates Court with our client, The Ministry of Justice based in Bradford. The role will include working as part of a flexible team. Carrying out a variety of general administrative duties to progress cases through the court/tribunal system.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing papers and files for court, tribunals, hearings and meetings
  • Producing court/tribunal documents
  • Creating and updating records on the in-house computer system
  • General office duties
  • Preparation of Single Justice Procedure work for North and West Yorkshire
  • Answering Emails, Phones, Counter, and any other admin roles the business requires
  • Data inputting
  • Post opening and dispatching
  • Dealing with Divorce Applications
  • Dealing with complaints to do with applications or other probate enquires
  • Drafting standard letters and correspondence, minutes, notes and reports
  • Clerking civil and family courts. Tribunals and hearings (ensuring papers and materials are available and up to date
  • Processing basic statistical analysis reports

  • Excellent grammar and spelling
  • Low sickness record
  • Great customer service and team building skills
  • Great use and Knowledge of Microsoft packages
  • Great organisational skills, being able to prioritise own workload
