Are you interested in working in the Public Sector, we have a new and exciting opportunity for administrators to join a large Government department based in Durham city centre. Your role will involve examining and processing applications and documentations, the ability to work on your own initiative and the ability to resolve queries with confidence when they arise is essential to this role.
o Process applications examining documentation and all other presented evidence making decisions based on evidence provided alongside policy and procedure guidelines to determine nationality and identity, resolving queries as they arise.
o Request documentation from customers to support their application by telephone and face-to-face maintaining high quality customer service.
o Address the individual needs of each customer in a professional and respectful manner, using an appropriate tone and communication style.
o Develop and maintain knowledge of legislation, policy, procedure and security guidelines
o Refer applications in line with policy for additional checks to be completed to confirm identify and entitlement and refer applications that are not within the examiner`s remit.
o Withdraw applications at customer request or if there has been no contact.
o Work flexibly and provide support to other operational colleagues / areas as required.
o Take responsibility for own attendance, performance and personal development
This is a 6 - 9 month position and the part time hours are evening shifts Monday to Friday and day shifts on a Saturday and Sunday. Normal working pattern is 5 days per week which could include Saturday and Sunday.
Standard pay rate will start at £7.98 and rise to £10.60 after 12 working weeks
