Job Description

The Ministry of Justice - Admin Officer
Location: Leeds City Centre (York House)
Hours: Monday - Friday (37 hours)

Pay: £9.78 per hour

Role Overview:
We are currently recruiting for a full time Administration Officer to join the Team at the Leeds Social Security and Child Support Tribunals (SSCS) with our client, The Ministry of Justice based in Leeds City Centre. The role will include working as part of a flexible team. Carrying out a variety of general administrative duties to progress cases through the court/tribunal system. While also clerking the civil and family courts, tribunals and hearings.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing papers and files for court, tribunals, hearings and meetings
  • Producing court/tribunal documents
  • Creating and updating records on the in-house computer system
  • Data inputting
  • Post opening and dispatching
  • Booking, preparing and organising meeting rooms, supporting training courses and other group activities
  • Preparing meeting agendas, joining instructions and handouts
  • Drafting standard letters and correspondence, minutes, notes and reports
  • Clerking civil and family courts. Tribunals and hearings (ensuring papers and materials are available and up to date
  • Assisting court users
  • Processing casework such as court orders, claims, fines and fees
  • Processing basic statistical analysis reports

  • Good Word and Excel is desirable
