Brook Street is currently supporting a client in their search for a Temporary Admin Officer to join their team in Shrewsbury.
The job will start as soon as possible pending full registration, reference, ID and eligibility checks.
We need a person with excellent writing and IT skills who is extremely competent with systems, particularly GIS and databases.
Tasks will, in general, include the following:
Using systems (including GIS and databases) to extract and input data relevant to enquiries made by customers
Registering permits onto the management system
Drafting responses to customers
Other administrative tasks
As an organisation, they work to create better places for people and wildlife, and support sustainable development along with protecting and improving the environment.
They are responsible for the following:
regulating major industry and waste
treatment of contaminated land
flood and coastal risk management
water quality and resources
inland river, estuary and harbour navigations
conservation and ecology
Their priorities are to work with businesses and other organisations to manage the use of resources, including:
increase the resilience of people, property and businesses to the risks of flooding and coastal erosion
protect and improve water, land and biodiversity
improve the way they work as a regulator to protect people and the environment and support sustainable growth
This is a 37 hour working week with some flexibility on start and finish times between the hours of 8am - 6pm, Monday to Friday.
The hourly pay rate is £11:85.
