Administration Assistant

Job Description

Our Public Sector client based in Birmingham City Centre is currently looking for an Administrative Assistant to support their department. This will be Monday to Friday, usually 9.00am to 5.00pm however the successful candidate must have a degree of flexibility in line with the needs of the business. This will be an ongoing temporary assignment, paying £8.91 per hour, please note that for 23 years and under this will be paying £8.36 going up to £8.91 in the 13th working week.

This role will require you to produce tribunal documents, completing general tasks such as photocopying, scanning and filing. Creating and updating records on their in-house computer system and data inputting. You will also be required to monitor the office email inbox, sifting through incoming mail, linking and delivering it to the appropriate teams. There will also be some post opening and dispatching.

There will be some requirement to work to workload targets in terms of throughput and accuracy, so please bear this in mind when applying. You must also be able to use internal case management systems, Microsoft Outlook/Word/Excel. Above all you will be required to deliver a helpful, prompt, polite and "right first time" service to the clients internal and external customers.

Please note this role is subject to a DBS check and three years referencing.
