Job Description

We are looking for 5 Full Time Administration Clerks to join the team over in Sutton HM Courts & Tribunals Service. This is a temporary role, starting off at 6 months, with a possible chance of extension.

Administration experience is desirable but not essential! So, if you're a friendly candidate with great customer service skills and/or experience, looking to get into the world of admin, this may just be the role for you! Please note - we are willing to take school leavers and all candidates will undergo a screening call before their application being processed!

This role is part of the Operational Delivery Profession. Operational delivery professionals are the outward face of government, providing essential services to the public in a variety of roles. This may include:
" Dealing directly with HMCTS customers
" Processing roles in HMCTS - Tribunal Administration
" Liaising with customers, stakeholders, and judicial office holders
The key purpose of the role:
Administrative Officers are assigned to teams to carry out a variety of general administrative duties to progress cases through the court/tribunal system or provide support to other functions within HMCTS. Continuous improvement tools and techniques are used in HMCTS which help us review and improve the processes we have in place and ultimately develop a more customer focused culture and service. Problem solving techniques are used to improve our customer experience and resolve complex or difficult issues. A high proportion of positions will involve role holders having regular contact with court / tribunal users (members of the public), members of the Judiciary and the legal profession. Administrative Officers work within a team with regular management support and are responsible for their own time, although there may be some opportunity to provide advice and carry out limited supervision of others.
Working as part of a flexible team, successful candidates will be expected to undertake a range of the functions and responsibilities specified. It is not intended that you would be responsible for the full range of duties.

This role will require a Standard DBS check - which we will process for you! If you are part of the DBS update service, this may help to shorten the waiting time before you get into your new role.

Rate of pay is £10.15ph for the first 12 weeks, going up to £12.29ph, in line with AWR.
