Job Description

Brook Street are proud to advertise a role at the MOD Trenchard Lines, this is a 3 Month position paying £10.35 an hour working a 37 hour week.

The Temporary Worker will provide administrative support. He or she will follow set procedures and will exercise some independent judgment in carrying out instructions, under general supervision. Examples of work performed will include but not be restricted to: Collating and analysing fairly complex information or data, submitting results in a written report Overseeing administrative procedures and processes Assisting with budget preparation and control, if required Acting as a administrative liaison with internal and / or external sources Preparing routine correspondence Typical qualifications and experience: Five GCSEs at Grade C or above or equivalent (including English Language or equivalent) NVQ Business Administration Level 2 (or suitable clerical experience) Administrative experience with a good knowledge of and experience in using Microsoft Office Good communication skills, both oral and written


This post provides unique opportunities to gain valuable experience in this critically important function

Key Tasks:

1) Assist the Information Security Officer (ISO) in the IM environment. Key duties include:

a. Monitoring and dissemination of Key Information to the SPLI Unit,

b. Electronic data filing on behalf of the SPLI as required

c. Maintain the organisationâ??s â??SharePointâ?? site ensuring site standards are maintained.


2) Manage the SPLI asset register by:

a. Recording the issue, transfer and return of SPLI IT assets.

b. Management of â??MOD F7677â?? Issue Vouchers.

c. Updating the relevant IT and security registers.


3) Assist the ISO with IM security by maintaining permissions and access rights SharePoint

4) Collection and distribution of hard copy Mail

5) Conversion of hard-copy documents to electronic (Pdf) format as directed by the ISO.

6) Act as the LSO for the SPLI submitting all catalogue requires with regards to SPLI accounts.


This role offers a variety of opportunities within a fast paced organisation, with a high priority on IM allowing the individual to progress and develop knowledge in Data Protection, IM and Information security.
