Brook Street are currently recruiting for talented candidates to work as Administrative Officers with one of our large public sector clients. Our client is offering a fantastic, temporary opportunity to gain experience within the legal sector within a busy and varied team. Your duties will cover everything from basic administration to handling more bespoke administrative elements of tribunal hearings as well as clerking within the Courts/Hearing Rooms.
Beyond file management and system maintenance, you will have contact with the public in this role and so confident communication is a MUST!
This opportunity is based in Newcastle City Centre. You will work Monday to Friday, ideal office hours and will be contracted the 37 hours per week. The rate of pay for this role is between £7.70-£8.36 per hour depending on your National Living Wage criteria and this automatically increases to £9.59 after 12 weeks.
To be a successful Administration Officer, you will need:
- Strong administration skills
- Confidence when communicating with a variety of clientele
- Strong file management
- Strong data-entry skills
- Ability to prioritise an often-fluid work load
