Job Description

Brook Street are proud to advertise a role at the MOD in Trenchard Lines, this role is full time hours working 37 Hours a week from Monday to Friday. Pay rate is £9.94 per hour.

The Temporary Worker will provide administrative support. He or she will follow set procedures and will exercise some independent judgement in carrying out instructions, under general supervision. Examples of work performed will include but not be restricted to:

Collating and analysing fairly complex information or data, submitting results in a written report

Overseeing administrative procedures and processes

Assisting with budget preparation and control, if required

Acting as a administrative liaison with internal and / or external sources

Preparing routine correspondence



Typical qualifications and experience:

Five GCSEs at Grade C or above or equivalent (including English Language or equivalent)

NVQ Business Administration Level 2 (or suitable clerical experience)

Administrative experience with a good knowledge of and experience in using Microsoft Office

Good communication skills, both oral and written



JOB DESCRIPTION:

Assist the Recruiting Group (RG) and HQ Budget Managers in the production of the monthly forecast submissions and provide general finance support e.g.

Bill processing

Reconciliation of costs and investigation of variances.

Processing and review of ledger reports.

Provide financial advice and support to RG and HQ staff.

Scrutiny of official entertainment, working lunch, overtime, travelling time and overseas travel requests to ensure appropriate compliance.

Provide support to the Budget Manager during BLB led Assurance checks.



Assist the Budget Managers in the preparation of the ABC and AP0 submissions.



Assist the RG Budget Manager in the administration of Officer Bursaries. Carrying out payment of officer bursary awards, assist with debt management and reconciling against DBS payments.



Provide general support to the ARITC Civ Sec.



Sharepoint Administrator.



KEY TASKS AND DELIVERABLES:

PROVIDE DIRECT ADMIN SUPPORT TO 2 X BUDGET MANAGERS FOR HQ ARITC AND RG.



GOOD LITERARY SKILLS, GOOD NUMERIC SKILLS AND COMPETENT TELEPHONE SKILLS.



ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

VERY GOOD EXCEL AND WORD SKILLS.

PREVIOUS MOD WORK SKILLS WOULD BE HELPFUL BUT NOT ESSENTIAL.

USE OF ALL MOD IT/SOFTWARE WILL RECEIVE ON-THE-JOB TRAINING.
