Job Description
Administrative Officer - Birmingham City Centre
Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm (some flexibility required)
£12.21 per hour
Temporary assignment with potential to extend
Initially fully onsite - hybrid working available after training (60% onsite)
Are you highly organised, detail-focused, and a confident communicator? We're recruiting an Administrative Officer to support a busy Public Sector department in the heart of Birmingham.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurate data entry and maintaining records
- Handling correspondence via email, letter, text, and phone
- Conducting searches for deposits, transfers, and case numbers
- Answering and making telephone calls professionally
- Using MS Outlook, Word, and Excel effectively
- Supporting wider administrative tasks as needed
What We're Looking For:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A confident and clear telephone manner
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Word
- A flexible and reliable approach to work
Important: This role requires a DBS check and three years of references.
