Job Description

My public sector client based in Lichfield is looking for an Administrative/Receptionist, to support their Medical Centre. This is a temporary on-going assignment Monday to Friday paying £11.01p/hr, full time 37.00 hours a week

This role would require booking patients in at reception, maintenance and administration of electronic medical records, typing, filing and patient liaison. You would be expected to provide general administrative support to the practice including faxing, photocopying, scanning, booking appointments and dealing with patients in an appropriate manner either face to face, by telephone or in writing.

You would also be responsible for routine administration of referrals, including maintaining the referrals register, sending referral letters, notifying patients of referral appointments, hastening of appointments and actively ensuring patients are kept informed of progress.

The role will require maintenance of the practice clinic diary including loading clinics onto the system 8 weeks in advance. Receiving and booking appointments for routine clinics, vaccination and audio clinics and maintaining an accurate record of Failure to Attends as well as developing a process to identify Failure to Book patients. Routine housekeeping of IT systems including managing patient records when personnel are posted, Share-point and creating accounts for locums and new staff.

Registering 'new arrivals' at the centre, ensure all paperwork is given and ensure new arrival appointments made. Also, to ensure all patients are up-to-date and cleared before leaving the unit. Attend and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings including recording and distributing minutes. And also, any additional ad hoc administration tasks.

The ideal candidate will have at least 12 months strong administration and reception experience and a willingness to train and learn new systems and skills and be expereinced in Microsoft Office, You will have an attention to detail and ability to work in a structured environment. You will be articulate, an excellent communicator and effective team player!
